Farmers Bank of Willards to Host “Race to Support Down Syndrome” Community Event Farmers Bank of Willards invites the community to take part in the “Race to Support Down Syndrome” on March 19, 2026, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at its Willards branch at 7233 Main Street in Willards, Maryland. The 3.21-mile course represents the three copies of the 21st chromosome that cause Down syndrome, making the distance a meaningful symbol of awareness, inclusion, and support. The event brings together individuals and families to celebrate the Down syndrome community while raising funds for local initiatives and research. “At Farmers Bank of Willards, community is at the heart of everything we do,” said Matthew Davis, President of Farmers Bank of Willards. “This race is a chance for neighbors, friends, and families to come together, support one another, and rally around an important cause. In a small town, we show up for each other—and that is exactly what this event is all about.” The race is open to participants of all ages and abilities. Whether running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, community members are encouraged to join. The event is free and does not require registration. Donations are welcome, with 100 percent of proceeds staying local or supporting Down syndrome research. For more information, please contact Farmers Bank of Willards at 410/835-8906.
